The Space Itself

The Dome Room is our most sought after room at the boutique banquet hall, and the reason comes down to how it feels on the night of the event. Gold Chiavari chairs with white seats sit at every table. Each table arrives with a fitted to the floor ivory tablecloth and a matching napkin. The setup is complete and polished from the moment doors open. Families who want to layer in color can add colored overlays or ivory Majestic overlays at an additional charge per table, but the base presentation already photographs well and holds its own through hours of celebration.

We host one event at a time at Portobello Banquets. Your daughter's quinceañera is the only party in the building that night. That's a practical difference that shapes everything from how our staff moves to how your guests feel when they arrive.

How Dinner Is Structured

Cocktail hour comes first. Our team passes six butlered hors d'oeuvres of your choosing to guests as they arrive, options like portobello mushroom pouches, coconut shrimp, scallops wrapped in bacon, and smoked salmon with herbed cream cheese. This keeps service moving and guests comfortable from the moment they arrive.

Dinner in the buffet format opens with a cold antipasto station, moves into a pasta course, then four entrée choices from our full menu. Chicken preparations include stuffed chicken breast with apples and almonds, francese, marsala, and cacciatore. Fish options include flounder stuffed with crabmeat, grilled salmon, horseradish crusted Chilean sea bass, and baby lobster tails. A carving station with your choice of top sirloin of beef, turkey, or smoked ham anchors the spread. Dessert options include special-occasion cakes, Italian pastries, sliced fresh fruit, coffee, tea, and soda.

Families who prefer a seated dinner can opt for the plated format. That version includes a pasta course, salad course, and three entrée choices. Beef selections like chargrilled filet mignon and prime rib are only available through the plated format, which is worth knowing early in the planning process.

Optional Enhancements Worth Considering

A brick oven pizza station, a raw bar, and a non-alcoholic martini station are all available at an additional charge. The non-alcoholic martini station is a popular choice for quinceañeras.

Portobello does not provide decorating services. Your florist or decorator comes in on the day of the event for setup. DJs, photographers, and videographers receive meals at a reduced rate and are generally not seated in the dining room. 

Every vendor submits a certificate of insurance before the event. We maintain a preferred vendor list of professionals who have worked here, and you're welcome to bring vendors of your own choosing.

Menu and linen selections are due one month before your event. Final guest count, floor plan, and certified bank check are all due one week out. The minimum for a party at the banquet hall is 50 adults. 

If your list climbs past 120, the Dome Room connects with the Annex Room and handles between 120 and 250 guests without changing venues.
